April at "La Fenice" Theatre

The work, described as one of the
greatest masterpieces of the composer from Catania, tells of a love plot set in
a Swiss village at a time unspecified. It was commissioned by Duke Litta in
Milan and first performed in 1831 in Milan gaining immediately a great success,
and are then replicated in the major Italian theaters and the world.

At the Malibran Theatre by April
27 will be represented "Powder Her Face", chamber opera in two acts
composed by Thomas Adès with a libretto by Philip Hensher.

The director
Pier Luigi Pizzi,
who also designs costumes
and sets, will bring on stage
the tormented story of Margaret Campbell, daughter of a Scottish millionaire in
the sixties has been the focus of
many sex scandals after his
divorce with her ​​third husband.

The work will be performed again
on Sunday April 29th, Friday May 4, Tuesday 8th and Thursday 10th of that
