Venice at Christmas time is transformed into a magical city where you can get lost among small streets and canals in an atmosphere of celebration, lights, and colors. Every year, the Procuratie and the arcades of St Mark’s Square are decorated with decorations that make it truly spectacular, and the square is also illuminated by the famous Christmas tree.

Unique in its kind is certainly the Presepe on the water of Burano, with its 60 wooden statues painted by hand.

With their scents and colors, the characteristic Christmas markets of Campo Santo Stefano offer crafts, Vin Brulé and many other products.

Venice also offers Christmas concerts of the “Fenice” or other events for the whole family such as Santa Running.
